In a full-scale celebration they had anticipated for four years, Moore and members of Harrison Bethel Baptist Church dedicated their new house of worship Sunday in a rural area of northeast Oklahoma City.
The former church building at 6300 NE 71 burned down when wildfires swept through the area in 2011.
The new building, constructed on the same property, drew about 250 church members, guests and friends Sunday as Moore, the church's senior pastor, shared his congregation's testimony of faith.
He said the new church building represented “a new birth, a fresh start” of sorts.
“To me, it's such an exciting moment after four years to be able to come home and worship in a new building,” he said.Read more on NewsOK.com
