Oklahoma native Garth Brooks, who was born in Tulsa and grew up in Yukon, surprised fans with news of upcoming new music today, revealing that he will duet with fellow Okie Blake Shelton, an Ada native now based in Tishomingo, on the forthcoming track “Dive Bar.”
Announcing the news during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at Shelton’s Ole Red Bar in Nashville, Tennessee, Brooks also shared that fans will get to hear the song for the first time live when he and Shelton perform the track at Brooks’ Boise, Idaho’s Albertsons Stadium show on July 19.
Co-written by Mitch Rossell, Bryan Kennedy and Brooks, who described the song as a "good ol' summertime anthem," “Dive Bar” is taken from Brooks' forthcoming studio album "FUN" and will be available at country radio at 5 a.m.
