OCU beats USAO, advances to NAIA Softball World Series championship

Brittany Perez hit a two-run homer in the top of the seventh inning, and Oklahoma City University beat USAO 3-1 in the NAIA Softball World Series on Tuesday in Springfield, Missouri.
With the win, OCU advanced to play Southern Oregon in the best-of-three championship series, which begins Wednesday.
OCU's Jaden Shores threw a complete game, and allowed eight hits.
USAO's Emily Cerny, who pitched three innings in the team's 6-1 win over Georgia Gwinnett earlier Tuesday, tossed a complete game against OCU. Cerny recorded two strikeouts, five walks and gave up five hits.
