Memo to Donald Trump: can you not?
The former reality star, who has convinced a sizable number of people that he's running a campaign to be president in 2016, has angered your favorite '90s band R.E.M.
The Donald played the band's 1987 hit "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)," on the campaign trail — and it's the opposite of fine, according to frontman Michael Stipe.
“Go fuck yourselves, the lot of you — you sad, attention-grabbing, power-hungry little men,” Stipe said in an email to The Daily Beast after Trump played the tune at Wednesday’s tea-party Stop the Iran Deal rally in Washington, DC. "Do not use our music or my voice for your moronic charade of a campaign.”
Similarly, R.E.M.'s founding bassist had this to say when asked for comment on Twitter:

The band, who broke up in 2011, also released a statement on Facebook on Wednesday regarding Trump's use of their song.

Meanwhile, the members of R.E.M. aren't alone in wishing Trump would leave their music alone. Neil Young was also not cool with the 69-year-old blaring his hit "Rockin' In the Free World" during Trump's campaign kickoff back in June.
